This is a mixed media paper, pastel and acrylic painting on a 36 inch by 36 inch piece of canvas. Inspiration has been drawn from the urban wildlife that calls NYC home. The push and pull between humans and animals to coexist in a respectful and peaceful manner continues. At times creating beauty, joy and wonder while at other times creating strife and turmoil.

This acrylic, paper, pencil mixed media piece on a 24" by 18" canvas draws inspiration from the mission neighborhood in San Francisco. The artist, Dr. Pendharkar, served as an internist and faculty member at USCF/San Francisco General Hospital for 2 years living in the mission neighborhood enjoying all aspects of experience. The stark contrast of serving homeless populations and other marginalized communities at SFGH while building a tech app interacting with tech executives like Vinod Khosla and more certainly left an impression highlighting the extreme contrasts that can exist in the same moment.
